Gloucester City Homes receive 3 stars
Harries Associates began advising Gloucester City Council (GCC) in 2007 after an Audit Commission housing inspection concluded the service was 0 poor with and uncertain liklihood of improvement. Within 6 months Gloucester City Homes (GCH) had been created and within 18 months the Audit Commission returned and a fresh housing inspection found that the services had improved to 2 stars and had promising prospects of further improvement.
Harries Associates was subsequently retained to help GCH reach a 3 star service with excellent prospects and in December 2010 the Audit Commission returned and confirmed that was the case.
GCH has also achieved many other awards during this time including Supporting People Gold Award and 5 As; Investors in People Gold Standard; International Standards Organisation's 9001 Quality Management Standard and the highest marked Customer Service Excellence Award of any public sector organisation in the UK.
